Pertaining to the recruitment of Constable General Duty (GD) in squads such as the Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Force (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and rifle persons in Assam Rifles, a notification has been released in the Employment Newspaper recently by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). As part of the recruitment process, the body is looking to fill a total of 54,953 posts, including 7646 for females and 47,307 for males.
As part of the given constable duties, the successful candidates will have to guard or escort. The Station House Officer (SHO) will assign their duties.
The selection of the candidates will be based on Medical Exams, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer Based Test (CBE), and Physical Standard Test (PST).
On July 24, the admission process will commence and continue until 1700 hours on August 24th.
Following the admission process, the admit cards will be uploaded on SSC’s regional, sub-regional sites and also, on the CRPF’s website that is crpf.gov.in. As yet, the date of the computer-based test had not been decided upon.
Salary Range: Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.

Eligibility: Only citizens of India qualify for the constable posts. Moreover, the applicants are required to submit their PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) because the vacancies are as per state or union territory.
Age: To be eligible for the constable vacancies, the candidates have to be within the age group of 18-23 years as on August 1st, 2018. However, the age norms are relaxed for some reserved groups.
Educational qualification: The candidates have to have passed their Class 10th from a recognized board or university as on August 1st, 2018.
Application Procedure: The aspirants can apply online via SSC’s official websites such as www.ssc.nic.in and www.ssconline.nic.in. On the site, they have to click on the ‘Apply’ tab, following which the ‘Constable-GD’ tab must be clicked upon. Thereafter, the system will direct them on filling the application form and also, paying the Rs 100 application fee.
